Everyone Welcome
Just 12 kilometres from Adelaide City centre, Cleland Conservation Park conserves a vital area of natural bushland on the Adelaide Hills face and includes the internationally popular Cleland Wildlife Park, the viewing platform of Mt Lofty Summit and scenic Waterfall Gully. The area has a rich history of Aboriginal occupation and European settlement.
The National Motor Museum boasts one of the largest, finest and most important collections of cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles in the world. The collection comprises over 300 vehicles dating from the turn of the century to the present day.
The museum is also the recognised centre for the recording of all aspects of road motor transport history in Australia. It is for this reason, among others, that the National Motor Museum enjoys an international reputation.
Warrawong Earth Sanctuary in the Adelaide Hills offers a unique experience. Guided Walks where you can see endangered animals in their natural habitat as it was 200 years ago.
Warrawong Earth Sanctuary has become a multi-award winning conservation and tourism facility offering a multitude of options to visitors. The intent of Warrawong can best be explained in Dr. Wamsley's own words; "… to give Australian animals a small piece of Australia."
Monarto Zoological Park is a 1,000 hectare open-range sanctuary undertaking a major role nationally and internationally in breeding programs for rare and endangered species. The Park is located 45 minutes (70 kms) from South Australia's capital city, Adelaide and is the gateway to the picturesque Murraylands region.
This unique adventure features the only drive through Cheetah habitat in Australia, South Australia's first ever Southern White Rhinoceros, Australia's largest Giraffe herd and the largest revegetation project of it's kind in South Australia's history! Adventurous safari bus and walking tours operate every day of the year, which are led by trained volunteer tour guides.
Enjoy a visit to one of Australia’s most famous painters, Hans Heysen’s, historic home, nestled among the majestic gum trees which featured in many of his paintings. Visit his studio which has largely remained undisturbed since his death in 1968.
