Wacky Races I Wednesday 9th July 2025

'KIDS ONLY' DAY CAMP: DESIGNED FOR ADVENTUROUS 5-12 YEAR OLDS WITH ENERGY TO BURN.

GET 'UNPLUGGED' FROM ELECTRONICS AND RECONNECT WITH NATURE!

These are traditional races, but not as you know them! We’ll be putting wacky twists on all our old favourites … egg and spoon races, tunnels races, sack races, three-legged races and even tug of war. Think special goggles, wearing oven mitts … anything that adds an extra degree of difficulty! There will be cheer-squad crafts as well to create team flags and winner banners.

Program highlights (but not limited to!):

  • Classic races like egg and spoon, sack, and three-legged - made hilariously harder with silly twists to get you laughing and on your toes!
  • Jump onto the wheelies for some zany races and relays-  depending on age the kids will use Green Machines (recumbent trikes with dual stick steering and trigger handbrakes) and mountain boards / mountain scooters (similar to skateboards and scooters but with larger all-terrain tyres and brakes). LONG PANTS AND SLEEVES ARE ESSENTIAL.
  • Deck out your cheer squad with racing flags, zoom around on billy carts, and take on the donut-on-a-string challenge!
  • Choose your own adventure - tackle our famous Challenge Hill obstacle course or whizz down the fast and furious Tube Slides (subject to weather).

...all this and more on our 54-hectare natural wonderland! You bring the energy and we’ll pack in the fun - big adventures, even bigger smiles - and a guaranteed good night’s sleep!

Rain, hail, or shine, the fun never stops! We’ve got contingency plans ready to go, so no matter the weather, the kids will have a blast.

Just $78 per day, Scout Members save 20%!

AGE SUITABILITY & GROUPINGS:

The UNPLUGGED program is designed for primary school kids, from Reception through to Year Six (generally 5-12 years old).

We ask that Receptions complete at least a term of school before heading to a Woodhouse day camp. They will be used to the school routine on which UNPLUGGED is based, meaning they will settle in better and get the most out of the program.

Children are generally split in age groups 5-7 and 8-12 to ensure the activities match abilities and everyone has a great time with an appropriate level of challenge. This can vary depending on the split of ages in the group.

All ages come together for lunch, morning/afternoon tea breaks and then at Tube Slide / Challenge Hill at the end of the day.
