SEEONEE was created as both a multipurpose venue and a designated bushfire refuge, supporting visitor safety during the bushfire season. Opened in 2021, the building was designed to sit comfortably within the natural environment and has a low environmental footprint.
SEEONEE is pronounced “See-oh-nee”. The name references the Seeonee Wolf Pack from The Jungle Book, which protected Mowgli, reflecting the building’s role as a place of protection during a bushfire emergency.
