A record breaking campfire in the Adelaide Hills

Ever roasted marshmallows with 2,000 people at once?

On Saturday 27 June 2026, Flameboree ignites Woodhouse as we attempt the world record for the most people roasting marshmallows simultaneously - and you’re invited to be part of history.

Expect live entertainment, delicious local eats, glowing campfires, games and activities running into the night and more marshmallows than you can poke a roasting stick at.

  • Dive into your favourite Woodhouse activities from 12pm – climb, explore, challenge and roam to your heart’s content
  • Take on extra pop-up fun including the Mirror Maze and Putt Putt Golf
  • Grab a fire torch and join the epic fire procession through Woodhouse, building the atmosphere as we lead into our World Record Attempt
    • Due to overwhelming demand, our initial allocation of Fire Torches has sold out. We're working hard to secure additional stock and hope to have more available for purchase on the night.
  • Feast your way through a lineup of food trucks serving up incredible local eats
  • Soak up the vibes with live performances from 2pm, featuring local talent
  • Then gather together for what promises to be one of the biggest, most magical campfire experiences ever held

This isn’t just an event – it’s a full-scale, fire-lit celebration of community, connection and good old-fashioned outdoor fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely not! The event is hosted by Woodhouse Adventure Park in partnership with Scouts SA, and is open to everyone! We need as many people as possible to help us break the world record and we want to make sure you have a great time doing it!  Bring your parents, your cousins, your neighbours and your friends!

Flameboree will be held throughout the afternoon and evening of 27 June. If you’re planning to take part in the Woodhouse activities before the World Record Attempt, we recommend bringing a change of clothes (including shoes) for each participant.

It can get quite chilly in Piccadilly, so be sure to dress in warm layers. A coat is essential, and you may want to bring a raincoat depending on the forecast, along with a hat and fully enclosed shoes.

We’ll provide your marshmallow and roasting stick for the World Record Attempt, but we strongly recommend bringing your own marshmallows (or purchasing some on site) if you’d like to keep roasting into the evening.

Bring your good spirits, bring your friends—and let’s break the World Record together!

Yes- Children must be aged 5+ to take part in the world record attempt. To hold a torch in the Fire Torch procession, children must be aged 8+ and children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult.

Great question! You can view them here

Even better! You can prepurchase your merch with your ticket. Click here to see the full selection!

If you would like to book in your entire unit at once, please contact Woodhouse Adventure Park and we can organise your booking.

But don't forget, we're trying to break a World Record, so we highly encourage mums, dads, brothers, sisters and friends to come along!

At 6:30 pm, following the torch procession, everyone gathers around the fire pits for the official simultaneous roast. Each fire pit has a dedicated scrutineer who will hand out marshmallows and roasting sticks at the time of the attempt – everything is included, so you don't need to bring anything. To beat the record, we need everyone in position and roasting at the same time, so listen for instructions from the stage and your scrutineer.

Fire pits are unallocated and first-come, first-served. We need around 10 people per fire pit, so please be prepared to share and welcome others to your pit – it's all part of the campfire spirit!

Yes, deck chairs are welcome. Large groups and Scout Groups may bring a marquee

Fire safety is a top priority. Carry torches only along the designated procession route, keep them away from people, tents and overhanging branches, and watch your footing - parts of the route are uneven with the odd pothole. Water drums will be positioned at the fire pits for extinguishing torches. Follow staff directions at all times.

Enter via Woodhouse Gate 1 or Gate 9 – the route will be well signposted, and on arrival you'll be directed to the best carpark.

Vehicle movement on site is strictly limited. Follow staff directions and the marked event route at all times. No vehicle movement after 12:00 noon.

Two exits will be in operation and marshals will direct traffic – please follow their directions and be patient; everyone leaving at once takes time.

Flameboree is a winter festival – expect cold, damp conditions and dress for them! In the unlikely event of cancellation due to severe weather, refunds are handled in line with the Woodhouse terms and conditions (woodhouse.org.au/terms), with refunds at the discretion of management. Any cancellation will be communicated directly to ticket holders.

First aid is located near the Hooper Bunkhouse and is marked on the event map.

Event staff will be identifiable in hi-vis vests – they're there to help. In an emergency, follow staff directions.

Yes – a quiet space is available near first aid (Hooper Bunkhouse) and is marked on the event map.

Yes. Scouts SA child-safe and safeguarding procedures apply throughout the event, and all activities are run with appropriate supervision and safety rules.

Yes – all standard Woodhouse toilets will be open, plus additional toilets and accessible facilities, including a baby change table. Locations will be signposted.

Bins for general waste and recycling will be provided around the site – please use them and leave the park as you found it.
